I was drawing in my room using something that looked and felt like a big crayon, but the way the colors came out made the illustration I was doing look like an oil painting. I was really happy and impressed with the outcome. I've used oil pastels before and thought maybe these were that, but it felt much smoother and less waxy than those. It was just nice to be drawing again after so long. My next dream had something to do with watching over my 1yr old nephew while in some unfamiliar building. We were walking and he ended up getting away from me and wandering into a couple classrooms. I hadn't realized this was a school til now, but no one complained that a cute toddler briefly disrupted their lessons. In fact, the second room was where the preschool was and although he's too young for preschool just yet, the teacher there welcomed him back. He sat down at a desk like all the other kids and then I realized he really has been coming here regularly and I just didn't know. My sister certainly didn't tell me about putting him in here but I was impressed. He's a smart kid anyway so of course he fits in. The teacher started talking to me telling me how she operates her classroom in a very free way where the kids are encouraged to express themselves however they want even if it means getting up and randomly running around the classroom during lessons. I'm not against this kind of schooling, but it's unusual and completely different from what I dealt with growing up. I mean I started school in the late 80s where teachers could still physically hit and spank you if they wanted to and things were just fairly strict compared to today's standards. Can't remember much else after this though.
