The Shuffling Things

The scene opened with three people climbing stairs. They had heard of some guy who was making a disturbance and it was said he’d be here today. One of these three was Chadwick Bosemen for some reason, dressed in a linen suit of white fabric, the next was an old crush from an old job I used to work at, and the third was a woman. I saw her face and vaguely remember knowing who she was but I didn’t care enough. She-let’s call her Pikka- had tattoos (I think) going down her arm, golden brown skin accenting each mysterious marking. Her face was kinda flat- almost like Grumpy cat’s face ( I can’t remember the name of the breed), with little dot eyes that are equally unappealing. With all this being said, she had this fire about her...a zeal. And she seemed like a person you’d be comfortable around. The dude, Ethan, was ripped. Not overly like it’s he’s on something, but enough to make me like him again. His hair was the color of pale sand after a wave recedes, in that weird limbo when it’s regain it golden brown hue and being pale. The biggest three features on his face were his nose, ears, and smile. He was someone who’s happy to be alive and doing something with himself. Sweat glistened off his brow, his arms lightly misted by the climb up. Anyway. The trio finally makes it up the stairs to find a man standing partly in the shade on a helipad with his back turned to them. I’m pretty sure he was finishing up a call when they arrived. Chadwick says something to him, causing him to turn. For a second everyone is still and confused, but I don’t know why. Maybe because Chad is still wearing his suit or the fact that Ethan doesn’t know how to fight, yet here he is. Or maybe it could’ve been that The Rock was minding his own business when these three called him out for no reason. Idk. The scene suddenly cuts to me, Pikka, Ethan, and The Rock inside a rodeo stadium; millions of people sliding, squirming, or pushing their way through to either find their seats, order food, or just pushing for the hell of it. Standing in the middle of all this trying to figure out why I’m here, Ethan disappears. I guess teammates don’t really have to let you know where they might be in a place that can literally hold millions of people, eh? Over the din of noise and swathes of wiggling bodies, I somehow find him. I don’t know what he was wearing before, but now he has his head in some woman’s lap looking up at her like some sort of lovesick puppy. And he’s wearing a Starbucks uniform. She identified herself as his mom (which I guess explains the puppyish behavior) and that she too works at this StarBucks. The Rock has followed me here and starting ordering what he wanted, and when she either didn’t bother moving or didn’t make it right, he made it himself. “Venti dragonfruit with a dash of water, light ice, and coconut milk.” He said this mixing it himself and glaring at her. Next thing I know we’re running up stairs. What could’ve been easily forty flights of stairs we climbed in minutes. Once we finally got to the top, I saw our seats. The mission was to observe and make sure nothing weird happened at today’s rodeo. The target, Dr. Thomas, was said to be here with his newest creature. It’s said that it gives him the power to be god. You know how that turns out. Annoyed that we wouldn’t make it to our seats in time, I began to descend the stairs. I’m flung from the top staircase and into my seat with Dywane holding me to his (shirtless?-?) chest, laughing wildly. I kept my eyes closed. I’m just surprised our pelvises didn’t friggin shatter. Screams ring out from the crowd. At first the could be confuse with delighted screaming from a child watching as a bull viciously kick and spin its victim around. But they increase in volume, growing louder and louder until its half of the stadium running in hysteria. A gelatin beast oozes from the doorway, meandering and gazing with red cloudy eyes at the people. No one moves. No breathes or tries to piss their pants. The tall turquoise thing makes a low rumble in its throat. Think of it like a whale’s call or some animals low moan when in agonizing pain. The socketless creature turns it head in our direction, once locking on, a smile coming to its round face. It launched itself into the crowd, a handful of screams smothered by it. The whole place thunders as people crash and push trying to get away. The beast vomits more things out, all varying colors, shuffling towards more prey. “Asexual reproduction?” I said to myself. ~~~more stuff I cant remember ~~~ Pikka comes out with guns blazing- or swords in this case- from a floor above them. Her grunts and screams echo inside. At this point, it’s nothing but jellies ambling around. Either mostly everyone got turned or successfully escaped. I’m hiding trying to figure out why to do next: Ethan and Pikka are off fighting these things, but to no avail. They just reform. And if there isn’t enough of them, they just assimilate into another monster nearby. I’ve seen too many to count. The Rock is gone. I can’t find him anywhere...if the things choose to eat you, they’ll spit your bones out since they can’t digest calcium... “CALCIUM!” I exclaim. I wake up. Ughhh I hate it when that happens. Anyway, hope you guys like it even though there’s bits I can’t fill. 😋😊
