So I was on the east coast, maybe somewhere in the Appalachians because I was in a small mountain town. My family and my cousins family were eating dinner in a pizza restaurant when suddenly these sirens went off. We stepped outside as did everyone else in the town to see what was going on. I looked up and saw a massive monster, think Godzilla but it was a lizard dragon thing, idk what it was. We began to ran down the street as the creature would swings its fists and smash buildings, unleashing destruction. I also went blind during this time a relied on others to help guide me while we ran away, usually by holding my hand. I don’t remember how I got out of this situation but I do remember, my dad sacrificed his life for us to escape. My family and my cousins family got separated as well. Later, I was sitting on a rooftop in a city, maybe New York City, with my brother, one of my cousins, a childhood friend, a current friend, and a couple of people I didn’t know. I knew we had all lost our families so we had to stick together now. Also at this time, I regained my ability to see. We made a plan, keep moving west, hopefully get to the west coast as the monster was destroying the East coast. My childhood friend and I stole a fire truck, where as the others took 3 other cars, and we headed west. At some point we reached a city, maybe St.Louis. We climbed a skyscraper under construction and hid near the top, making a base out of the scaffolding surrounding the building. We lived out of here for some time, maybe months, but then on one fateful day we saw the monster in the distance, it had now destroyed everything east of St.Louis. We picked our bags and headed out. At some point the group got split up, I was only with my brother and my cousin. We found a quarry next to a cement factory and decided to make camp here. We explored the camp but had to be sneaky because there were workers, but we thought if we stayed hidden we’d be safe. And we were. However, the three of us had lost everything, our families and those who helped us survive. We were depressed from this, and would question if going on was really worth it. The dream ended there but during the entire time there was a constant state of dread for when was the monster going to reappear, and a constant state of mourning for our lost families.
