Father's vault

Father has kept all the important documents in a vault room..Mono, my aunt came to retrieve some documents and in father's absence I opened the vault, switched on the lights and entered. there were lots of safes in it, couldn'make out anything. Mono too couldn't find what she wanted and left. I called a stranger to the vault and asked what he made of some of the ducments. He said he has to take things to his place to examine or gave some such ideas that werent workable. Then I closed the vault but the lights didn't go off. I checked all the switches but still some lights flickered on. The vault door wasn't closing either.
