Told Off At Work

I'm on my shift at work stacking the shelves in the store, and for some reason my family happen to be browsing the shop at the same time too. One of the higher-up workers who acts as a supervisor when my boss isn't there comes over and tells me to start doing the 'face up' (basically bringing the stock forward on the shelves ready for the next day). I start the process. Later into the shift, I am still doing the face up when for some reason the worker comes up to me and tells me off, stating that I should be standing at the front of the store instead. The rest of my family aren't happy as I was only doing what I was told to do, but I stop what I am doing and do as he said.
