Epic War, Homophobic PowerPoint, Perfect City

There was an epic war, like something from Lord of the Rings, between two major opposing forces. One was attacking the other was defending, I was on the defensive. We lived in a great city. I was some kind of a sniper. I was invited to a charity-funded wedding but instead of a wedding it was just the bride who brought us into a classroom and did a PowerPoint presentation about her transphobic and homophobic views. I really wanted to walk out. I also remember walking around a really nice city that felt like home, but I've never been there. There were many old buildings, antique cars and generally a sense of timelessness, as if the place was a museum. I felt so good there and my mother who was exploring the city with me agreed. I remember there was a canal or a port of some kind. It was definitely European. It was like a city where people focused on preserving old things as much as possible, or fixing them with their own hands, instead of throwing things out and keeping up with modern consumer trends. There was a family inside a 1930s car that was passed down for generations, with some subtle improvements, and it was amazing. The city is probably my ideal.
