The Gold-Filled Lake

I was in a car with my mom and her father (my grandfather). I recognized that we were at the beach because I could see water rushing to the ocean. Instead of going to one of the hotels like I expected, we headed the opposite direction of the ocean. We went down a long dirt road and came across a farm. There was a man and his 3 daughters that were standing outside of the barn. My grandfather went up to him and hugged him, but I was paying more attention to what was behind the trees. It was a lake. "Can we swim in there?" I asked him. I thought it would be muddy, but it was light blue. I jumped in the shallow end and waded out to the deeper area just before diving underwater. I was surprised when I could breathe, and then realized that it was a dream. I continued to swim around underwater like a mermaid, breathing normally. I noticed that there were little bits of gold at the bottom of the lake. The lake changed into a tiny, muddy hole, so I got out and went into the barn. I was hoping that when I came out it would be back to the way it was. I walked out of the doors and dove back in. I picked up the little bits of gold on the rocks and brought them to the edge until the end of the dream.
