Nobody loved me

Help me figure out what this means please... I was at this school that 3 other schools also attended. There were different class rooms for the different schools. A few days had gone by where we didn't do anything too important. But this one day we ha to choose someone to love. To be with. I had a few people that I liked. But none of them like me back. I looked in all of the different classrooms to find someone. But I didn't like anyone there. I finally thought that I was doomed to live alone. I sat and cried on the floor. My choir teacher tried to find me someone but no one loved me.
