Carol Smith has a house in the Hawke’s Bay it’s a big old colonial villa. I’m visiting it with a young woman and being shown around. I make an excuse so that we can leave early but we persuaded to return and end up having dinner there. I wonder why Carol doesn’t live there full-time but I guess it’s a bit out of the way...
