Mommy’s Girl

I dreamt that it was night and I was running trails as part of a race; kinda like cross country. For once, it also felt good to run and not like it was a hassle or a chore. That said, I was running with my old cross country team, including a member who’s recently deceased. I ran alongside him, through hills, bushes, and trees, till eventually, I overtook him and the others. Then, as I came to the end of the race, I climbed up onto a deck, and rang a bell to signal that I’d won. It felt fantastic. Afterwards, the dream changed. I was now in a city full of bright lights and billboards that lit up the night. My current crush Ray was hanging out with me and some others, I think. We were just chatting and having a good time. Suddenly though, he then mentioned that he had a girlfriend named Alanna. For some reason though, I wasn’t jealous. I was just confused. Honestly, I became even more confused when I then met the girl. I mean, she was with her mother and it was so very clear that she was an annoying mommy’s girl. That said, I then just kinda started to feel sorry for Ray. He could do so much better. …Safe to say I felt rather relieved when I woke up and realized it was all just a dream lmaooo
