My ex the alligator

In my dream, I saw my ex boyfriend. He was an alligator. Somehow he changed from human to alligator. I told him how glad I was to see him and wanted to clear the air from our ugly break-up, which took place decades ago. He sensed I was wanting to get reacquainted to possibly start dating once more. Then he stressed again, that he’s not the same person he was back then, and repeated he’s an alligator. It made me pause to think, can I really see myself snuggling with an alligator? Dream ended.
