I left my boyfriend in the bedroom of a strange house with my best friend and when I came back they were curled around each other under the duvet, playing video games. He tried to scramble up and stop me backing out of the room, saying something with desperation in his eyes, but she didn't even look at me, her eyes fixed on the game in front of her, legs still entangled with those of my boyfriend.
