Two dreams in one night. There was this little girl, maybe 11 or twelve, who went to some kind of private school where the kids had to live there in dorm rooms. She didn't really have friends and was always teased by one girl in particular and her little group of friends when they were around. It really got to her. One day came when somehow she found a way to mess with the girls to get back at them. She figured out she could maneuver as a spirit and floated up to their dorm rooms and messed with their lights continuously to scare them. Proud of her accomplishments, she spoke of them on the phone with a boy her age who she had met recently and wanted to impress. As she told him about what she'd done and laughed, it was clear she was starting to lose it a little bit. The boy warned her that it'd be easy to tell she was responsible, and said she should probably get out of there before the police show up. She quickly hung up and hurried to the door, but when she opened it two policemen were already standing there. They cuffed her hands and started leading her away, the girl knew that the only way to get to the front door was to descend the many stairs that for some reason were in the middle of the cafeteria. She begged them not to take her down those stairs, because she knew everyone was in there at that time and she didn't want them to see her like that. The cops ignored her though, and as soon as they came into view all of the kids started pointing and laughing and shouting stuff at her. She kept her head down as the police officer escorting her told the kids to make this easier, but of course they didn't listen. As they walked towards the doors to the cafeteria the boy she had been taking to on the phone earlier was walking past, not noticing them at first, and nearly got run into. When he noticed them and what was happening he looked surprised and a bit worried, but he silently stepped aside and watched them as they left the room with her. The policemen took her into the bathroom which had been turned into some kind of holding cell. They weren't going to keep her in there for long, and told her she could come out whenever she wanted to. She stayed though for a long time, and I remember watching as though time was being fast forwarded. As time ticked on the more of herself she lost, and she started to throw up and rub it al over her clothes. Her throw up was weird orange and foamy, but she smiled as she rubbed it all over her shirt as though it started to put her mind at ease. I think there was more but I don't remember more than that. ---- In this dream the main girl somehow wasn't in her own time, but she was only off by up 10 or so years. She fell in love with this man who was significantly older than her, so much so that he'd be an old man when she returned to her time- and he was already starting to show signs of it. As she was about to leave for her time she begged him to still take her hand even if he was old, and then returned. It skips after this and the girl is much older now, and has a daughter. It's never said, but the assumption was that the old man only lived long enough to make her pregnant and then die, so now it was just this woman and their daughter. I remember the woman being a troubled soul who wasn't as kind or giving to her daughter as she probably should've been. I remember her smoking and hanging laundry up on clothes lines as her daughter tried to ask her something, but I don't remember what was asked and I think she was ignored. Later, this woman is at her cashier job at what appears to be Walmart. A boy her daughter's age comes up to her and offers her a joint/cigarette that was made with something having to do with monkeys and kept trying to explain how it was made and that it was a new product. She tried the cigarette but it didn't feel or taste like anything (I was seeing out of her eyes for this part), and when she was done the kid gave her a little notecard that wanted her information like her name and address. She refused to write that stuff down because she didn't want people in the drug business knowing her name or where she lives. The boy who was now a cute little girl for some reason begged her to put her information down because if she didn't the one who would get in trouble was her. The woman said that she herself would get in trouble if she /did/ put her information down. The kid started to get really worried and the woman pulled her into a hug and told her that it was better for her to get in trouble rather than her, the grown up, because as a kid she has plenty of time to fix her mistakes and as an adult she doesn't have much time left to do that. The kid wasn't really buying this type of logic but she kept trying to assure her this was the way to do it. The kid started to cry and the woman agreed to put her first name and last initial but that's all she'd do, the kid cried harder saying that wasn't good enough and she'd still get in trouble. Later she walks back into her workplace because apparently she had left at some point and as she's power walking towards the registers she runs into her boss. She tells him about what happened with the child just in case he were to find out somehow and he didn't really seem to care. The two show up at the opposite end of the lines of registers to see three other workers all struggling with the self check out machines. None of the machines would let any of them log into them, so they couldn't be used by the customers. A few of them were standing around with stuff in their carts but none of them really complained or looked annoyed. The main woman went up to a machine that wasn't being messed with and tried to log in, and it let her. She turned to the rest of the bunch and said this one was working, but didn't get much of a response. She tried to mess with it to find what was wrong and it was saying specific grocery items weren't registered so they couldn't be scanned. As the other machines started letting people log in who had the same problem they came to a consensus that they'd have to re-add all of the items saying they weren't registered. Some dude who presumably worked there came up to the main girl as she was trying to figure out if she should try to add the items back to the database or if somebody else was doing it and he told her it wasn't her fault because they had all been warned not to overload the system with items and while she added a few a lot of other people added many. It wasn't said aloud but this event was presumably caused by the people she upset by not putting her name on the child's index card after trying the drug.
