Will volunteering

Could see in Will's eyes that he was touched by the direct experience of human suffering and wanted to help. I took him aside and asked him if he'd like to start volunteering, he could pick anything that mattered to him. He felt hopeful about that. I felt proud of him and happy about that bond between us. Then, whatever we were doing that day, we were at a hospital for another reason and we were back at a place like the asthma/allergy clinic like where mom used to work but it had nothing to do with mom. Andrew was present on the premises somewhere as was Belinda. We told a black man who was a friend and who also worked there that Will wanted to volunteer somewhere and he had the spirit of "start now!" and asked a woman coworker to find fun volunteer things for will to do to make a connection with others and help them. I don't know if we did anything before he and i went out for coffee or out to a bookstore. Andrew was still at the hospital, possibly volunteering. Belinda came and found us and was worried because she didn't know where will or Andrew had gone. I told her Andrew was back at the hospital. She was proud of her kids for wanting to volunteer. I was afraid she was jealous they were doing it with me.
