accident at work

I was driving a dump truck at the quarry where I work. It was a normal night until we needed one of the loaders that didn't normally work in that area to come help with something. The guy that operates the loader is one of my friends. He was working near the edge of the pit and drove over the edge. It is 150 ft to the bottom of the pit. I was in such a state of shock and panic that I could barely get the words out to tell my boss what had happened over the radio. I felt really bad and afraid because I knew that it was too late and there was nothing I could do to save him.
