My family and I had moved to Britain for a couple months, and while in our new house I found some other, younger, kids. They pulled me into a dark room and under a table to hide from an old woman who killed little girls. Now, this is modern day (me being 16 and a bit chub), so I thought this was weird, but I was scared because they were. It didn't seem fake. I was huddled up with a preteen girl who reminded me of myself a couple years ago when I accidentally brushed up against an impact-activated light. I prayed that the old woman, who I could hear traipsing about, didn't see it. But she did. She pulled me out from under the table (I crawled out b/c she ordered me to) and started brandishing a knife. I tried to reason with her, saying that I wasn't a little girl (being a teenager and nonbinary), but she didn't care: she was out for blood. She tried to bring her knife down on me, but I took it from her in the heat of the moment (which was easy because she was kind of skinny and weak). She was really surprised, especially when I drew it across her throat. So was I, to be honest. She fell backwards, spewing blood, and the kids all escaped. I looked down at her, filled with regret for doing that, but she was still alive. So I left her there, bleeding out seemingly infinitely. I went back through the door I came through and into the family room, which was laid out like the den of my old house. There, I panicked about what to do. I didn't know who to call, because I wanted to call 911 and explain my situation but I didn't know what number to call, being outside my home country. I called 911, and a man answered. I asked him who I should call after apologizing for calling the wrong number, but he hung up on me after I explained that I was American. So I went into the next room where three of my friends were, and we planned to run away from home after the evidence was done away with. We all agreed, my dad being out of the house at work, but while we were packing stuff, we heard the front door open and close. That's when I woke up.
