Mercy

I had a dream that seemed to be mildly based in GoT, I remember the hound got name dropped at some point in the dream. Anyway two people were having a duel to the death, one man was entirely unremarkable and the other was something of a brute. I remember thinking that he seemed cruel and if not for his strength he would have also been unremarkable. Then the brute won the duel by disarming his opponent. Instead of killing him though he forced the other man to the ground and forced some sort of bear trap into his mouth. The bear trap was reversed though and would open outward ripping his jaw off. The brute said he would only not use it if he begged for his life. The man started crying at this point and asked/begged for a clean death. I have reflected on this point for some time because it seemed weird he would beg for death. I think this was like a weird honour thing, the unremarkable man had been prepared to die a fairly normal death, but the brute was cruel and on a power trip so wanted to deprive him even of that. At this point I woke up.
