I was 30 years old. I had a child about 12 years old. Blonde hair, unlike my dark brown hair. I don't remember the first part of the dream, but I remember putting my unconscious daughter in a giant skillet and cooking her. After, I brought her to the bathtub and put her in there and sat by the tub and sobbed. Then the present 19 year old me, walked in on 30 year old me, and asked, "What are you doing?!" I tried to wake her up vigorously. She wouldn't. I was about to scream at 30 year old me when the child opened her eyes and moaned. and that's all I remember.

AI generated interpretation This dream contains disturbing and unsettling imagery that may evoke fear, shock, and incredulity. Dreams that involve cooking, harming, or killing others, especially family members, can represent feelings of guilt, shame, anger, or sadness that are too overwhelming or taboo to be acknowledged consciously. These emotions may be related to the dreamer's past experiences, traumas, conflicts, or fears that have not been resolved or integrated yet. The dreamer's age, as well as the age and appearance of the child, may reflect the dreamer's sense of identity, maturity, or responsibility in waking life. The fact that the child has blonde hair, unlike the dreamer's dark brown hair, could suggest a difference or disconnect between the dreamer and the child, such as a genetic or cultural heritage, a personality trait, or a relational dynamic. The skillet and the bathtub could symbolize different aspects of the dreamer's emotional landscape. The skillet, as a cooking tool, may represent the dreamer's desire or need to transform or change something in their life, such as their relationship with the child, their parenting style, or their own identity. However, the fact that the child is unconscious and being cooked suggests a lack of agency or consent, as well as a violation of boundaries or norms. The bathtub, as a cleansing or purifying vessel, may represent the dreamer's attempt to wash away their guilt, shame, or anxiety about what they have done or thought of doing. However, sitting by the tub and sobbing implies that the dreamer is still overwhelmed by their emotions and unable to make sense of them. The arrival of the present 19-year-old self in the dream could signify a perspective shift or a critical evaluation of the dreamer's past actions and thoughts. The fact that the 19-year-old self is trying to wake up the 30-year-old self suggests a desire to break free from the trance-like state of the dream and confront the reality of what has happened. The child's awakening and moaning may symbolize a potential for healing, communication, or connection, but also a reminder of the trauma or harm that has been inflicted. Overall, this dream appears to be a manifestation of the dreamer's unconscious conflicts and emotions related to parenthood, identity, and morality. It may reveal a need for self-awareness, compassion, and forgiveness, as well as a willingness to face and integrate difficult experiences and feelings. If the dreamer feels overwhelmed or disturbed by this dream, seeking support from a therapist or a trusted friend may be helpful.
