Running in Salida

I had a dream that I was working in a Chinese restaurant and I had no clue what I was doing and I was preparing tea and this one chicken dish for guests even though I literally had no clue how, and then I left there for the day and had a hard time getting on the road, and also then I started driving to Salida, stopping at this one really weird gas station on at one point that just had this really off feeling. In salida I went for a run (what, lol) and then ran into Mr. Lawson for some reason and we talked for a bit. He invited me to something (?) Then I was in this really fancy house with a ballroom that had walls that extended and contracted up and down to make it full size or half size, and we (I can't remember who else) were trying to solve this pressing scientific problem that had something to do with a dying race of animals and we couldn't get it. Then I woke up.
