I found myself at work late at night on my usual shift watching the monitors when I witness two SUVs drive up and park parallel to one another. A shouting match happens between the people in the car and next thing I know all the people in one of them gets out and approaches the other. They have guns and start shooting but are quickly gunned down by the assailants in the other vehicle. It's insane to watch and I can't believe what I'm witnessing. The victorious vehicle screeches off soon afterwards leaving behind what appears to be 5 dead men in the lot. A couple of them are slightly moving but who knows how bad of a shape they're in. I panic and don't know what to do. The thought to call for police crosses my mind but I quickly dismiss it because I'm too worried about my own safety. I dare not even go out to check to see if they're okay because I have no idea if these men who are alive might shoot me simply for trying to assist. Not only that but seeing bloody dead bodies will traumatize me. But just like that I look away from the screen and back and now everything has been suddenly wiped from existence like it never even happened. I'm still too afraid to actually go out and physically check, but I'm glad nonetheless that the situation simply went away like I wanted. I notice there's still people in the building which is unusual at this time of night. One woman and her 3 kids actually walk right into my office to see if they could sit down. I start to tell them that they can't just come in, but she says she's just waiting for her ride to come so I cave and let her. Besides she is a cute redheaded woman too. She's very friendly and odd, but in a good way. She treats me with this familiarity as if she's known me for years and it's refreshing to be around someone who's like this. Honestly I start wishing I had real life friends like this or that I could even get a girlfriend who's this way as well. I begin to wonder what it'd be like dating someone with 3 kids and although I would prefer not to, her kids seem cool. They're in that 8-12 age range where they're not too hard to deal with and don't have so much attitude and edginess like a teen would. Somehow I end up being transported without even realizing it to her apartment because several men showed up at the door and it was to my understanding that 2 of them were the kid's fathers. I figured this would probably be my cue to leave too since they didn't look to happy with me being here. The whole situation seems like more trouble than it was worth but it was still awesome hanging out with her and her kids. I say goodbye and leave. Once I do I am instantly teleported back to my office. Although actually I'm now in a slightly different building and up on the 9th floor which is where the owner of the building has his office. He shouldn't be there at this time but while walking around I peek into one of the door windows and see a board meeting of some kind happening. This is such a bizarre night. It's midnight! Why are people having business meetings?! I hear a TV on and specifically a sports game so I wonder if it has something to do with that. Maybe an investment meeting based on which sports team wins or loses perhaps who knows. I quickly leave to go back to the lobby where I'm supposed to be though. Upon getting down there I find I'm in the building of my old job from 10 years ago. I can't remember what happened next except I ended up being whisked away to a different dream. Now I find myself driving around with my ex in the passenger seat trying to find some specific street vendor she wants to go to. We manage to find it and it's a small open-air shop selling various candies and fruits. She told me that the place is usually only in Southern states like Texas, where she's from, Alabama, Tennessee and the like. I keep getting this thought that I've seen one of these shops in the super tiny town of Eutaw, Alabama where my late great grandparents used to reside for many years. We get out and go in to have a look. The owner is a burly middle-aged black man with thick shoulder length hair and a salt and pepper beard. He wore cream colored clothing including a cream fedora and dark tinted glasses. He offered me two plastic cups and said we're free to sample anything we want. I thought it was odd because how could we sample anything without actually opening bottles of soda or whatever? I didn't ask though and figured I just wouldn't need to sample anything. I gave one to my ex and separated from her to wander around on my own. One particular shelf caught my eye and that's one that had these interesting looking coconut candy bars displayed. Coconut has a tendency to turn into a solid at cool temperatures but then liquefy at warmer ones and since it was warm out all of them were these now clear bars in thick plastic wrap and you could see almonds and other stuff floating around in it. It was the strangest candy I've ever seen and I wonder how you would even eat it without making a total mess upon opening it. Maybe you'd have to throw it in the freezer first so it could harden? I dunno. But I ended up waking up shortly after this.
