Cat Paralysis

This is an older one but I fell asleep curled into a ball on my couch one afternoon. I open my eyes because I feel one of my cats stepping into the couch behind me. I can look around but I can’t move at all. The cat moves one foot over my leg but I can’t see the cat, all I can see is the couch, my body, and what appears to be blackness. The static in the air is terrifying, and I realize whatever is stepping over me isn’t a cat. It’s coming closer, the static is louder, and vibes in the air are not good. I try to move away but I’m stuck. I try to scream for help but I can’t move my mouth I can feel the panic and my own scream boiling inside of me. It’s getting closer, right up in my face but all I really see is blackness. Then it backs off, and I jump up off the couch but there was nothing. My heart is racing so fast it hurts and my limbs are sore from how hard I was straining to move. This was my first experience with sleep paralysis, but at the time I was 100% convinced I had been visited by a demon.
