Dream: Chance At Life

I was walking through a mostly dead forest on a path that most didn't know about. Only a few friends of mine knew of it… and of course I knew of it. With each step I took, little flowers sprouted behind me. Each time I touched a tree, a sort of healing moss would begin to cover them, swiftly reviving the tree to life. This went on as I walked through the forest path. I was in no rush. Just taking my time on this path. The scenery soon changed and I was in the heart of what appeared to be an abandoned city. I walked through it, no longer trailing flowers behind me, until I reached the ruins of what once was a beautiful temple. I stepped through its ruins to a small pond. I knelt by the pond and looked down at the edge. I tapped the water and it glowed, cleaning the water of its filth. I stared down at my reflection now. My reflection showed a slim androgynous person with fur where skin normally would be. Beautiful blue-green fur. My eyes were a golden color with cracks of purple in them. I had feline ears upon my head that twitched occasionally. I could see glimpses of a long fluffy tail as it flicked in and out of the reflection. My clothes were simple robes of a cream color.  I tapped a finger onto the pond water. A faint glow appeared as the water rippled and soon showed me a scene from what the ruins once were.  The ruins were once a ritual chamber for medicines and magic to heal others. I was one of the children healed here. I, and many other children, had been at death's door when brought here. The healers and mages saved us but in the process they mutated us. My mutation being the nature magic, fur, cat ears and cat tail. The water rippled and the scenery changed again. It was farther in the timeline. The lab was being destroyed as a figure whose magic obscured them. They were killing off the mages, healers, and children. I, and one of my friends, jumped into the pond. It shimmered and teleported us somewhere safe. The figure roared in outrage. The image vanished from the pond. It returned to showing the reflection of the ruins and my reflection. Behind me I could hear footsteps. An adult whose aura was non-threatening. "I knew you'd find your way back here." ((Then I awoke.))
