I was at Temple Christian School, in Moline. The school was almost totally empty. There only seemed to be our class there, the sixth grade. There were only six students in the classroom. Julia was one of the students, I asked her if the high school was this empty, too. She looked at me sadly and said she didn't know. We were bored and we didn't know what to do, as the teacher wasn't there. We were going to go to a water park in Davenport, as we had memorized all of our Bible verses. We couldn't seem to leave the building, though. Julia became the temporary teacher. Melissa knocked on the door. She said my dad was waiting outside to take us to the water park. The other kids started to get ready, but Melissa said they weren't invited. My dad took us there, he had bought us season tickets. It was late, though, and getting dark. There were a bunch of homeless people milling around. We had to go up a really rickety metal ladder to get to the water park. Melissa went all the way up, but I decided it wasn't worth me getting hurt to go up, so I went back to the car. Melissa left early, she said it was closing. We went over the arsenal bridge, to downtown Rock Island. Melissa and I got into an argument and she got out, even though it was night.
