I am at the bottom of the ocean in a research station with two others - a woman with a shaved head and a man. I’m getting claustrophobic and it’s time to leave. The woman’s suit is not working, so she wraps herself in a plastic bag and shares my oxygen. I hold them both tightly. We’re told it will take six hours to reach the surface. Outside the station there are volcanos and ice patches, so we get away as quickly as possible. We go to the surface at a ten degree angle. I check that the woman is ok. We swim through enormous forests of seaweed. Something brushes my leg. We see city sized Roman ruins on the sea floor, perfectly preserved. I wish we could explore but we need to keep going up. Somehow we find ourselves in a hallway lined with old books, still underwater. The man looks at a book to keep, but puts it down. Racks of clothes and other items appear. Around a corner, we see two people just standing there. They are not in suits. They have small pointy ears and a wattle under the chin, but otherwise look human. We end up in a hotel. We try to be discreet, but are stopped by security. One is suspicious but the other is friendly. He explains that they’re sea people. We’re given new clothes and the woman is given a proper suit. I’m running out of water to drink, but they don’t understand this. We’re taken to an elevator to bring us to the surface. The suspicious one wishes us good luck. The man promises we won’t tell anyone they exist. At the top of the elevator is a long slanted tunnel and a train car to bring us to the surface. I wake up with a dry mouth.
