In a game

I suddenly was in some sort of house with stuff laying as round the house, it felt pretty real but there was something off about it. I decided I was ij VR and continued. There were multiple houses and in the house next to me I heard gunshots. I stepped outside to have a look. I walked stealthily to the front door which was open and saw a dead body but most importantly, a gun. I tried to grab the gun but it fell through the stairs. I pushed myself through the stairs and grabbed the gun again. There was a weird vent down here, some kind of crawlspace. I took a quick peek in it but didn't want to proceed. After this I also ran into my friends which made me more aware of the fact that I was in a game. I showed them the gun and told them about the crawlspace.
