caught red handed

I live with my mom and she doesn't know I have a boyfriend. I've struggled finding a way to tell her. I was home alone with my boyfriend and we were just talking. Suddenly my mom unexpectedly drives up, and I freak out. I rush my boyfriend to the garage exit, hoping he can run out before spotted. We run by a window and I'm afraid we're caught. As soon as we reach the garage, my mom unexpectedly bursts through the garage door. She saw my boyfriend and looked confused and heartbroken. I had to think of a way to explain it. All I could do was introduce him. I knew my mom thought I had done something wrong in the house. She was very quiet.
