School nerf war

One of my teachers organized a giant nerf war for my school to participate in. It would begin with a open question, and two answers were put up. Something like, do you like cats or dogs? And whichever answer you chose you were on that team, teams were rarely even. When the game started we would rush to the center of the arena where there were many different nerf toys (guns, balls, etc...) and we would start battling. The strange thin however is if you got hit, you would suddenly “die” and would respawn at the edge of the arena, unable to re-enter the battle. I only managed to get one person as there were very little weapons in the center. It was with a very inconvenient shuriken like toy. The two of us threw the shurikens at eachother for a minute or so before finally I landed a hit on his neck, by then the game was basically over.
