Close calls in car

I was with a group of people and we were supposed to split up and drive different directions in our of two. I was with the cool leader. He was an older guy and was one I wanted to impress. We start driving down this busy country road and I almost get into a wreck like 3 time. I'm swerving to avoid cars, going past the incoming traffic lane to pass people. And only missing cars by a fraction of a second. There was a bridge hat we came up to and I was nervous about crossing it. I ended up running us into the ditch right before the bridge. The car is in the grass, getting torn up as I try and put the car into gear without crashing into the cars that are zooming by on the road. I remember eventually getting on the road, but noticing that because of all that I broke my cruise control.
