new music video. I watched an interview about it first, where Luke explained the thought process, which is why I understood a lot of it. a city street w lots of pedestrians. Luke walks through the crowd and sings. he looks different - skinny, clothes hanging off of him. short straight hair, kind of choppy. he looks a little crazy. he talks (sings) to people but no one listens. he doesn't seem all that bothered. he goes away. a dog comes in, dark gold golden retriever. everyone loves her. she leaves next verse. kristen wiig comes in wearing a fuzzy pink jacket, sits down on steps. she is the same character as Luke. She talks about how things change. she used to love Halloween. she watched Hunger Games on Halloween. that was what it was all about. Then Halloween changed and got scary, so Hunger Games got scary too. A thing that everyone loved changed and became scary. I realize this means that the dog is going to change and become scary. I'm horrified. What did the dog change into? Maybe this feeling is all kristen wiig needed to make her point and scare us. maybe now the dog is ruined and the idea that she will become scary is enough to make us scared of her. I'm scared.
