Pirates

It was some sort of space pirate mess - I can't remember all of it or everyone that was involved. There was a shark man who could remove his head and store it in places and a Phoenix girl who could spit fire that grew weaker the further it got from her but those are the only characters I remember. I remember that there were around 6 of them and each one was paired off with another crew member. The main kid was paired off with the captain of the crew and was really distressed when the crew had to split up for safety because he wouldn't know what happened to his captain. at the end they were captured and put on trial after the main kid got hurt really bad. his mom was actually the lawyer for the group.
