Store mischief

A couple were going through the back rooms of a store. They were locking doors and the man had a gun. They were able to get through without anyone triggering an alarm or calling for help. No one was hurt, but it was not pleasant. They leave the back rooms and enter the store proper. They are now wearing uniforms they took from workers. They split up and wander the store. The dream follows the man. He instructs another worker to clean up dead house plants in the electronics section. He jumps down from one level to another. He’s having a lot of fun, and also using his authority to steal things. He tells a worker to take the rest of the day off and leaves. He meets his wife in the parking lot. They change their shirts to not be identified. His wife managed to steal a boat and also left got a free sandwich. They’re both giddy with the power and drive off. We now see a very cute montage of their life, in cartoonish form. They’re repeating this scam again. Now they have a baby son. The son is now a toddler. They’re in an accident and the woman has a cut on her leg. In the next scene, she’s wearing an artificial leg and her husband and son are gone. Only the woman appears for the rest of the montage. Now we are in a true crime version of the same story. We see that many people are harmed on these heists, both financially (losing their jobs when theft is found), or physically through violence. Their son leaves them as soon as he can. Later, the father is older and doing another heist. He is followed by a security guard out of the store. The guard tries to handcuff him but he fights back and kills the guard. The guard was actually his son. It’s very sad. The woman goes off on her own, living in her car, and continuing to do heists. It’s lonely. Unrelated dreams: I am running late for work, but drop by an army navy surplus store. It’s fancy, like a Walmart. I buy a pair of pants and still get out in time for work. I am in the car with my mother. I need to stop by a government office for paperwork. It would be a long detour, but Google maps says it’s only four minutes by bike. I bike along a trail, then on a much rougher path (with water and loose logs) not meant for bikes. It takes me ten minutes, so I need to contact my mother and let her know I’ll be late.
