Alligators.

Alligators were in a pond so tourists were trying to scare them away by throwing luggage. Some of the gators had luggage sticking out of their chests. The pond became a lake with a tiny island and the gators started chasing people to eat them. When they chased them it was under a huge wave. Eventually one came after me and I tried to get to a tree to climb it but the water surge covered the tree and then I woke up.
