snapping turtles

i can’t remember fully but i was at a place and there were 4 turtles. it might have been my dad’s backyard. this is so annoying bc i can’t remember the “plot” and i know there was a lot before this part but i can’t quite say what. anyways they were all snapping turtles but i had found one really big one and it was a tortoise but snapping tortoise ig lol. i found ppl who had 2-3 and i was gonna give the one i found to them. they had this setup that was huge for their turtles and it had a top then stairs then the bottom pool. even though mine was a tortoise ig it was fine. also i remember the necks of the turtles going out super far so it was hard to know if you’d be bit. they had a small pink turtle but the pink was only in stripes and they had a small all white one. idk the color of the bigger one they had- maybe yellow and green, same as mine. we put the turtles in their setup and the white one went down. so how it worked was there was water flowing down the whole thing so they went through this waterfall stream kinda to get to the bottom. it went down the first part, then on the stairs it bumped its way down and you could hear its shell clacking, then it plopped into the pool. i also just remembered she had said that when they were building the stairs part they had to carefully align it so that every step didn’t take off a certain amount of years from the turtle’s life. if it was too far of a step then the turtle would live a certain amount of time less apparently. i picked up one of their turtles, i think the bigger one, and it was super nice. they were all snapping turtles but it fell asleep in my hand.
