A Memory

I could see everything. I could see myself at school going through with the PE excersizes. "I don't remember looking like that." is what I said to myself, then I remembered that it IS me. I could see all the flaws about my body... my insecurities. But no one batted an eye. No one was staring. No one was judging. I was just... me. Participating like everyone else. I fumbled some of the excersizes. And I was lagging behind, making mistakes. "I'm so confused." I saw myself saw, smiling and giggling while getting the excersizes wrong, then quickly correcting myself. It was a genuine smile. Some excerzises involved getting in line. And I remember standing behind this girl and started talking to her. I was spouting random facts I knew about the board we're standing on, about how it could burn through our shoes into the soles of our feet. "Wow, really?" She asked, as she started picking at the platform. Where did all the time go...
