In the first dream I was in a school setting and there was a warning siren going off. I thought it was a drill. Everyone was hiding under objects, but I wasn’t taking it very seriously so I sat on top of a table that someone else was hiding under. I was looking out of the window, when suddenly I saw the wall of black smoke hurling it’s way towards the house. It hit us before I had time to react; the windows all exploded, sending shards of glass flying everywhere. I could feel the heat of the smoke. I wanted to crawl under the table but I felt like I could barely move for some reason, so I was moving in slow motion. I finally made it under the table and waited for it all to blow over. After a while, we saw the smoke retreating. I got up and decided I would go home and make sure my family was alright. Next thing I remember is crashing a car with a boy and a girl I’ve never seen before in a neighborhood. They were apparently my siblings. I went into someone’s house and asked if we could stay in their shelter with them, and they hesitantly said yes. Someone children came to the door asking to come in, but I told them we were full. I was waiting for one of my siblings to show up, but the girl kept insisting they died in the crash. I could still see the smoke everywhere; in some places it looked like it had become sentient. It had arms/hands that were grabbing things and destroying them. The second dream involved the aftermath; I was with my family this time but the air was thick with smoke and I felt like I could barely breathe. I walked with my sister to wherever she was going, because I was telling her about my atomic bomb dream? It was weird, because I was telling her about my last dream while we were living in the aftermath of it. Anyway, turns out she was picking up an oxygen tank for us to share, so I grabbed one too, and we carried them back to the house. Upon entering the house, I saw that we already had one, so we added the other two. We all took turns. I went first because I was really struggling to breathe. Once the mask was on me I remember thinking the air was also thick, but in a good way. Before it was like there was too little air and I couldn’t get a breath in, but with the mask it was like there was so much that I was overwhelmed. Anyway, once I was done, I tried to turn it off but couldn’t figure out how. I just unplugged it. Then I told my dad that he should have a turn, so I plugged it back in for him.
