The speech

I was scheduled to give a speech at my son’s school who’s in second grade. I realized my first speech had already been delivered in front of a large audience and I was embarrassed thinking back how I had just jumped right in to the content without introducing myself. I was trying to get to the next speech in my son’s classroom, but I was having trouble moving around because I was so tired. I think I may have been trying to wake up in rl and was feeling that paralysis feeling in my dream. As I entered the building I fell over and apparently startled staff nearby because next thing I know I’m hooked up to a machine in a medical clinic at my son’s school. I was telling the nurse that everything was fine and I was just groggy and tired. She reminded me I had another incident the year before requiring their medical attention. At that moment a Dr peeked over my shoulder and just as the nurse had recognized me, so did he. I tried to reassure him I was fine by saying “status quo”. He responded, “status quo?” I again stated, yeah, status quo.” And that apparently satisfied him and he nodded and walked out. The nurse went on to explain that when they had tested me the previous year after my other incident I only vaguely remembered, it raised red flags. They had shown me a picture and apparently if the subject does not identify the women in the picture as having a face then The subject, or patient, would highly likely be a dangerous person. I was confused and asked - you saying I didn’t see the woman’s face? Yeah, she said, so we were really concerned naturally and I had to make note of that. So I was like- great, these people are keeping notes on me. So I was so tired and frustrated at that point I decided I would not be delivering another speech after-all. Instead I just went to my son’s classroom and picked him up. When I got there he was in the pool and having a blast. The weird part is that I realized their classroom was my bedroom which in rl was my childhood bedroom. Anxiously I looked around concerned my room may be too messy and I was relieved to see that although my closet door was removed, my clothes were all neatly hung and my room was orderly. So I got my son and I was still so groggy and I was trying to get out of this school and as I was walking back near the medical clinic I noticed the appearance of the school was more like a banquette room in a large hotel. I nearly opened two double doors to exit the building but realized what an embarrassing mistake that would have been since behind the doors was the royal wedding. I felt such relief I hadn’t gone through the doors to make a fool of myself. I walked back and I could see the lineup of the wedding party. Everyone’s eyes would have been on me since they were waiting for the bride to enter at that point. I saw the bride in her wedding dress and I noticed she wasn’t all that pretty although tall. Her dress was alright but not royal it was more like a mermaid style dress. It seems I made it to my car and on with more drama I don’t remember.
