World Comes to an End

This was a very long and involved dream. The end of the world came. From what happened, I believe the Earth got knocked out of orbit. Most of the first part of the dream was fairly normal. My wife and I somehow missed the planet wide announcement that the world was going to end so we thought it was a little strange how everyone was so sad. We eventually figured it out and the night of the ending there was a big party that we went to. Just as the sun was starting to go down it all of a sudden went down very quickly and it became dark. That was the beginning. Everyone was just staring up at the sky then a little bit later the sun popped up and began speeding through the sky. I could tell that we were no longer in orbit. Gravity started to feel weird and the sun made a few more quick passes. I then awoke.
