Familiar face?

I got out from a building into a parking lot area, not too far from me there was a family getting in the car, I look and their daughter catches my eye... She looked awfully familiar, at first I thought from TV because she looked like a famous actor I liked but... A young version of her. I take a closer look and then her mom notices me and goes "omg... Wait.. Is that you..?" it seems like we were both familiar to each other. Turns out her daughter was with me in middle school, around 8 years ago was the last time I saw her, but she had changed so much... She went from rather ugly to a nice looking goth-like look with a hairstyle I liked. We talked and we both got a little worked out, she was very smol.. I kinda wanted to hug her but she just got in the car..
