Friends friend with cancer

My best childhood friend had another friend she gravitated to for many years. My friend told me she had terminal cancer and was about to anesthetize her to remove the tumor. I had grown very upset over this for some reason. I don’t know if I felt bad for my friend or her other friend or both but I think I was crying.
