Multiplying pet corn snake

A pet snake got out of the tank and made the garage it's home. I noticed this, but figured it was no big deal. I did not attempt to capture the snake even though I saw it around every now and then. Weeks passed like this. Then one day I noticed a smaller snake in one place, and the pet snake in another. After several more days, there were three snakes in the garage. The original and two smaller snakes. The smaller snakes looked odd, like the big snake had shed its skin and it came alive. They were semi-transparent and did not slither smoothly. I felt like I should be concerned, but did not want to go through the trouble of capturing them. It just didn't seem like it would matter one way or the other.
