MMA Store

I walk into a small sporting goods store. The owner leans across the other side of the display case and strikes a conversation with me, we are old friends. He asks me, “What do you think will happen when all of this ends?” I laugh and tell him, “Well, you MMA guys will be the most prepared out of anyone: in good shape, know self-defense...” He doesn’t seem satisfied with my answer and seems to be facing his own mortality - worried about the breakdown of society. I try to cheer him up and say, “Regardless, man. You’ve done a great thing here for the community by building a shop from scratch. That’s something you can be proud of.” He still seems wary but recognizes the truth in what I’ve said. I turn and continue browsing in the store.
