Losing my Computer

I was running down the halls of my high school frantically, trying to get through the main hall to my car. My drawing tablet, computer, and a white blanket were in my arms as I weaves between people. I had finally made it out through the quadruple doors when I finally relaxed. Now that people weren’t in the way, I could finally get to the car. I heard my name being called mere moments later, but didn’t see anybody. I shrugged and proceeded to walk a couple steps before I realized I had dropped my computer. I still had my drawing tablet and that random blanket, but my computer was nowhere to be seen. This was that, “Oh shit,” moment. My computer is basically everything to me (at least in some aspect), so it was essential that I find it. I went back inside the school and searched the floors that tons of students were still trampling through. The students kept coming, so it was near impossible to spot the computer for some reason. I heard my name again. Somewhat irritated that I was being distracted while searching for my poor lost computer, I whipped myself around and found my classmate, Christian, presenting me with my computer. The other students had suddenly filed out of the school and were on there way, leaving Christian and I in the hallway with just s handful of straggler students. “I believe this is what you’re looking for,” Christian said to me, offering me my computer back. I had simply replied sheepishly, “Oh, thanks,” and reached out to grab my computer. For some reason, we walked into my AP classroom and chilled there for a little bit with a couple other classmates before I eventually left the school, sharing a short but still awkward gaze with Christian before I left.
