I recall just being an invisible observer in this dream watching a black explorer, or maybe he was yet another missionary illegally venturing to the extremely secluded Sentinelese Islands to make outside human contact and spread their religion. So irl recently a missionary did this and got killed because this tribe has had little to no contact with the modern world and due to their first experience being really bad where lots of them got sick from diseases they had no immunity from, they no longer tolerate outsiders and shoot arrows on site. They'll shoot warning shots and if you ignore them they'll kill you. This is what happened to that missionary. So this new guy is venturing there via boat and I can't help but admire how beautiful the island scenery is. The sun is shining so brightly and the water is so blue and clear. The sand on the beach was almost white too. We arrive on the island with no issues surprisingly. It is a decent sized island so it's not like someone can patrol every side of it at all times. We venture through the jungle not too far where we find a small modern looking house. It even has a satellite dish on it. No doubt placed here by outsiders who likely use it to watch their goings on from afar. People just seem to not be able to help leaving them alone unfortunately. We venture in further past the house and see a dirt road clearing in front of it as well as a small SUV. This tribe was apparently alot more advanced than we thought afterall. We began hearing voices and suddenly a short chubby middle-aged man came walking out. He held a spear and wore nothing but a cloth to cover his groin. He had dark skin and straight black hair that was cut in a cropped fashion. He actually smiled at us but I was still wary as was the man I was observing. He began speaking to him in the island language which of course the man did not understand. Then he motions for him to follow him back to his house. I dunno if he was actually being friendly or trying to lure him into a trap to be killed. But then again it seems like the Sentinelese are a direct people and if they intend to kill you they'll begin doing that right away. Still I felt uneasy for the guy. Eventually he lost his nerve and began walking back towards the beach while waving his hands at the man in thanks. The man kept asking what I imagine him to stick around but he kept politely refusing. I began to think that maybe the islander was being nice to him because he was black and looked closer in appearance to the rest of the tribe. If he'd been white I'm sure there would be weapons drawn immediately and he'd be killed like all the rest who tried before. I woke up as we got back to the beach so I never could confirm whether the guy made it safely back to his boat, but I assume he did.
