Cousin

I woke up in the middle of the night from a very vivid dream. My cousin Michael recently died of an overdose. I hadn't seen or spoken to him in years but we were close as children. In my dream I was at my mom's house and after being tapped on the shoulder I turned around to find my cousin Michael standing face to face with me. He reached out his right hand and placed it on my shoulder while using his left hand to point into his mouth. It was like he was trying to communicate with me but I was so startled I began screaming. His right hand moved to my neck and he began choking me. My mom was nearby and started whaling on him to let go. She began choking him from behind and after a short struggle I woke up gasping for air. I couldn't get back to sleep for a long time because of how disturbing the dream was. It also makes me wonder if the official COD was asphyxiation.
