We Didn't Click 🖱

I got a new roommate. She was French. She was wearing a French braid (kind of an obvious connection, subconscious, but whatever). She was pretty chill and we got along well... until that night when we were both hanging out in the living area working on our laptops. It was quiet. I probably had my headphones on. Out of the blue she goes "Did you just click your mouse?" "Um, yeah," I said. "That's too loud!" she said, "Can you stop?" "Um... no. I need to click occasionally." "Can you make it quieter?" "No... It's a mouse click. It's pretty quiet already." We never found a resolution.
