The Diner Drama

My husband, a few friends, and I decided to go get something to eat at this diner. The front of the diner was entirely made of windows, so we could see in. While we were pulling into the parking lot, I thought I recognized a friend that we haven't seen in a while. I stared for a while, trying to see if it was actually him. I spotted his car in the parking lot and confirmed it was him. We went inside, but didn't say hi to this friend. My husband made a comment about this friend being there. I don't remember exactly what he said, but he was definitely not happy that he was there. It was storming outside and the power in the diner kept dipping in and out. It was kind of spooky, but we were hungry so we decided to stay. I needed to go to the bathroom, so I hesitantly got up and walked to the bathroom. The friend and I made eye contact and I smiled before walking to the bathroom. Of course, the power went out the second I got into the bathroom and the bathroom itself was absolutely disgusting. I walked back out of the bathroom, sans relief, and saw the friend again.
