Wedding Without Wedding Bands

Blane and I have just gotten married (not really) and we’re with a small group of people at a shaded picnic table at a park. I look down and see that I’m wearing my birthstone ring from Nana as my engagement ring and Blane is wearing my (actual) engagement ring on his hand. I gasp and say “We never got our wedding bands!“ Blane very casually replies “Oh, shoot!” which bothers me because it seems that I find this to be a bigger deal than he does. We get in the car with the group to drive to the rental house. My mom is in the drivers seat, Blane is in the passenger seat, and I’m sitting in the backseat with Nick Lassila and whoever else is with us. Before we leave, someone else climbs into the backseat with us. To make room, Nick scoots over and motions for me to squeeze in next to him. I wind up leaning my back on his chest. No one seems to find this odd other than me. We finally get to the rental and drop him off at his house. The car has suddenly transformed into a canoe and we’re all taking turns to navigate through the ocean. We pass by a large group of those on-the-water obstacle courses. It looks like there’s a televised competition going on. We continue to row by without drawing attention to ourselves, but somehow we begin swerving between each course.
