Ongoing Zombie Apocalypse Among "The Poor"

My dream made me the savior of the world from a zombie apocalypse. Sometimes the zombies were able to retain their minds and sometimes they were mindless. I know I came up with a supposed cure, but I later find out that it wasn't distributed to everyone. I was hailed as a hero and everyone knew me but I had people who secretly wanted me dead. I hadn't realized there was an "upper" town. I think people tried hard to distract me but someone managed to essentially kidnap me when I was heading back home after my mom showed me a dinosaur leaping into the air for fish (a "Dream Moment" happened and it turned into a small fish so i decided it was time to go). I didn't fight the kidnapping as we get on a train, having a gut feeling it wasn't going to be my demise, so to speak. I'm taken to "the lower" town where things haven't even BEGUN to be repaired. Buildings were still destroyed, trash was piled high (to be cover?). The person I was with was a somewhat well put-together older woman who felt like she'd be the gentle guide from a video game. She explains that people haven't had it easy down here, which explains why I saw a strange little boy during a celebration "uptown." The train stopped right next to a house that was up against the train tracks. My kidnapper opens the door and i step into the building and start wandering around what feels like ruins, unsure how it could get to this stage of decay in such a short amount of time. I come into a room and there's my cat, Charlie. I apparently had to leave him behind to try to save people and thought he was lost and here he is, lying on a worn down bed. The kidnapper goes over to hold him down as I come over to stare at him, too afraid to pet him since he seems feral. His collars are frayed from him trying to scratch them off and I see tangles so we work to get his collars off even as he growls. I almost pet him before he runs off because we hear a HUMAN growling. Zombies. Not everyone had been cured. Only the wealthy had ... And then I wake up.
