You know those skiing boots that are pretty heavy and hard to walk on? I was at a skiing place with my dad and just realized that I saw a video once of somebody who could ski on only his boots. It is very hard to maneuver and you need a slanted piece of snow. I propose the idea to to this to my dad and he wants to try it with me. I don’t remember any of my other family members being with us at that moment. First we struggle cause we don’t have enough speed and come to a complete stop. Eventually it works and it feels so damn nice to ski on your feet. It almost feels like the ice rider from the incredibles. Turning is slower than with skis but I don’t crash into anything. There are some instances where I almost hit other people. Also, falling in your back is frequent since it is almost like skateboarding off a ramp but harder. There are some small jumps where you go from one plateau to a lower one and I somehow went from a sitting position and I landed perfectly balanced on my feet. The other 3 times (plateau jumps were in sets of 2) I fell on my back. There was also this guy who had skateboards bound to his feet instead of skis. He was a pain in the ass because he was slower and we had to slow down multiple times. I remember how there was a super slanted part which I somehow knew was coming (I didn’t know anything about this skiing place) and I told my dad quickly and I immediately went down without hesitation. I need to lie on my back and put my heels in the snow and eventually also one hand, to prevent hitting a pole with my giant speed. This steep slope was also where we first saw the skateboard dude.
