Meta Video Game

The dream followed the protag of a video game and its characters. Very meta. Characters were a whole family walking thru the opening sequence of the game. Had to walk past certain things that only the player could interact with and had conversations abt it like they knew and accepted how it worked. Big family. Focuses in on the oldest brother, Alexander. Oldest sister was briefly included before the dream shifted focus. Protag was some irl loser who didn't have a job and stuff, but had a HUGE personality, go getem, go lucky, potential to change everything. Skinny blonde in his mid twenties. Idk his name either, but the dream made Alex start falling for the protag. There was this underlying problem of previous players leaving after they complete the game, moving on with life in a healthy way and forgetting abt the game world. (this part got disturbing. trauma, meta knowledge, death of characters happening over and over, implied that a baby born between Alex and femprotag disappears thus effectively dies every time the player moves on with real life). Implied that bc new protag didn't have a life irl, he might end that cycle by remembering the game fondly or staying obsessed with it. Alex with big abandonment anxiety, protag often showing up to calm it. I went back to sleep like 3 times trying to finish this dream but I couldn't. That's all I remember. I love this story honestly wow, what a good dream.
